regents park
the sun was out on saturday so i trekked all the way north to regents park. there are the best of the bunch…
edit: i’ve reframed one of the fountain images a little. it’s tacked on the end…
stoopid sign
i was on the tube and saw this sign. the idea is that you give up your seat to someone who needs it more. this person, who clearly needs to use a walking stick has given up his seat to a woman and child. what a gentleman. more concerning though is that he seems to have some kind of fold-out seat built into his leg that they’re sitting on. you’d figure the surgeon that fitted it would’ve tried to fix his legs so he didn’t need a walking stick before implanting such strange extras.
farewell and goodnight jacque
it was a sad day this week when my brother told me of the loss of his pet crayfish jacque. like so many tragic deaths, he was taken well before his time. there were rumours around the fish tank that he’d talked about taking his own life rather than allowing himself to be fattened up, but those who knew him believe it was something more sudden and turbulent that swept him from this world.
he will be sorely missed.
planetside
just messing around in photoshop and made this. not complex but looks kinda cool. next time round i’ll put some oceans on it instead of just rock. that and a starfield…
is that a shadow?
the picture below is far from perfect. no polariser, it’s noisy and the exposure’s all wrong, but what i’m interested in is why the river is blue on the right and orange on the left with such a strong line between the two. answers on a postcard…
sunset across the field
just the one…
the first pic is an HDR image composed of several bracketed exposures. the second is the image from which the sky was extracted (for those who prefer silhouettes to grainy foregrounds).
