i was on the tube and saw this sign. the idea is that you give up your seat to someone who needs it more. this person, who clearly needs to use a walking stick has given up his seat to a woman and child. what a gentleman. more concerning though is that he seems to have some kind of fold-out seat built into his leg that they’re sitting on. you’d figure the surgeon that fitted it would’ve tried to fix his legs so he didn’t need a walking stick before implanting such strange extras.

Could the picture not be suggesting that the man with the stick needs it more than the woman with a child? The man does appear to be tapping her on the shoulder as if to say, “Excuse me, I’ve got a bad leg. Can I sit there, please?”.
