running rings
having cried and bitched for several days, my parents have finally relented and let me have my birthday present a day early ![]()
these are the first piccys to come out of my camera after bolting on the macro rings.
blue through red
driving home tonight the sky ran an excellent blue through red. i stopped in a few different places and managed to get these.
at the kart track
i went kart racing today with my little sister. i’m pretty competitive and she’s pretty rubbish at karting; a recipe for me being happy. it’s kinda hard to take pictures when you’re sitting on a tea tray doing 40mph so i had to take some beforehand. the tires around the track actually ended up proving more interesting to photograph than the karts.
trust me - tires are way exciting…
down south
guernsey’s a summer place really but the little chapel and the cliffs do give you something to look at during the winter. the little chapel is the smallest consecrated church in the world (so i’m told) and is only big enough for the minister, a couple getting married and the two witnesses. it’s completely decorated with shells and broken pottery.
back at cobo
this place is built for sunset photography. if you didn’t see my previous post ‘birthday in guernsey‘, check it out. this beach is just the most amazing place to watch the sunset. even though it was really cloudy tonight, it still looked perfect…
snapping anything and everything
i’ve just got home for christmas so i’ve been wandering around taking pictures all over the place. most of them are beach shots in other posts, but i really liked these two.
one is of my cat smokey who refused to frame his head properly (entirely his fault). the other is a bunch of boats that are in dry dock for the winter; the reflection is made it what guernsey people affectionately call the model yacht pond.
