next to the pier at cobo
trips to guernsey are never complete without a west coast sunset at cobo.
this time round there was a guy pretending to fish while his friend took photographs for the cover of a new book. i figured i’d get in on the faking
sunset across the field
just the one…
the first pic is an HDR image composed of several bracketed exposures. the second is the image from which the sky was extracted (for those who prefer silhouettes to grainy foregrounds).
blue through red
driving home tonight the sky ran an excellent blue through red. i stopped in a few different places and managed to get these.
back at cobo
this place is built for sunset photography. if you didn’t see my previous post ‘birthday in guernsey‘, check it out. this beach is just the most amazing place to watch the sunset. even though it was really cloudy tonight, it still looked perfect…
the sky on fire
red, blue, purple and a million other colours. these show another good example of pictures being easy when you’ve got something fantastic to capture. the only retouch that’s been done on one of these pictures it to raise the black level of the foreground. the sky is exactly how it looked.
